Only asking because I've helped 7 or 8 of my noob friends/fam set up scarlett's on PC/Mac's of various ages since the pandemic started (everyone's a podcaster or producer now), and all of them have been dead simple. Have you checked to make sure that you don't have some other conflict happening? The BSOD's are making me think that you have another USB device that's conflicting in Windows. I honestly don't get how focusrite can be this horrible with all the hype and fame they get
