The number of businesses using 1Password grew to over 75,000, as more companies shifted to hybrid work and began looking for a secure way to share information and passwords outside of a physical workspace. Though 2020 posed challenges for 1Password – as it has for many – in some ways it’s been a great year for us. We responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by offering businesses 1Password free for 6 months, sharing our experience around hybrid work and security, and helping businesses adjust to the changing nature of the workplace. This unexpected transition left many businesses scrambling to adjust to new ways of working.
